Composing Music
Module Description
Music has the power to express the emotional charge we feel. Sometimes it can express emotions that cannot explained in words, and there is a reason for it. Melodies are pre-existent in a harmonic context (chord progression), and chords are already present while a melody unfolds. We use our unique composing method that involves active listening and creating smart form charts, to map the operation of music within a tonal or an atonal system, to then apply these as tools to exercises and to your original material. This Module analyses and touches topics like: composing for theatre, for the cinema, for TV, radio and advertising.
This Module does not contain orchestration or arranging techniques, as these are part of the “The Music Lab” Module.
